Description
This is your chance to get your hands on a signed photo of local hero Max Whitlock MBE.
Hemel born Max Whitlock started gymnastics at the age of seven and hasn’t looked back since.
He broke on to the world stage at his first Olympics in 2012, which saw him win team bronze and pommel horse bronze.
At the 2014 Commonwealth Games he won all-around, floor and team gold, pommel horse silver and parallel bars bronze.
The Rio Olympic Games 2016 proved a watershed moment, with Max winning an unprecedented two golds in floor and pommel and an all-around bronze, establishing him as one of the world’s very best gymnasts.
There have of course been many more competitions between these remarkable feats, including being crowned pommel horse world champion in 2015, Glasgow World Cup gold in 2016 and many more.
Max’s main advice for anyone is to set yourself goals: “If you have nothing to work for you won’t achieve.”
Not only an amazing gymnast but also an inspiring young man.
